Please note: you're expected to attend the meetings that you've signed up to attend. If you're unable to attend, please email us at ThePeoplesColloquiumPDX@gmail.com. Honoring your attendance commitment is important; without it, our community structure doesn't operate well. If irregular attendance becomes a problem, we'll be in touch to discuss other attendance options or to suggest a new schedule.

For example: you cannot attend the second Friday of the month; you prefer not to workshop horror fiction; etc.


The information you provide in the following fields will become your profile in The People’s Colloquium’s member directory. This will be accessible to other members, so please do not put anything down that you wish to remain private.

7. Biography and personal information
Please type biographical information below to share with the community. We recommend answering the following questions. What projects are you working on? What are your goals? How can the community help you achieve those goals? Please also include personal or professional information about yourself (likes, history, etc.), and any links to your web presence(s) that you want to share with the community (artist's website, Facebook, etc.).
8. Sample
Please click the below box and upload an example of your work—your writing, your music, your visual art. Note: If you don't have a sample of your work to upload, we suggest that you upload a .pdf of writing you appreciate, a .jpeg or .gif of artwork you find inspiring, or a .mp3 of a song you find moving. Such materials can be googled, downloaded, and then uploaded to your profile.

9. Contact Email
Please type an email address that you check regularly. You will be emailed communications from administration (e.g., to schedule you for critiques) and website notifications (e.g., when someone has messaged you on the Members Forum). We do not give out your contact information to anyone for any reason.
10. Login Information
This is used to log in to the site, but won't be publicly visible.
Your password must contain at least one lowercase letter, one capital letter and one number, and be at least 8 characters long.
