The Madman by Nietzsche

December 4, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

When traditional coordinates have disappeared, how do you find orientation, purpose, meaning? How do I live my life when all the traditional coordinates that told me how to live my life have dropped out?

What do I do when the institutions that tell me who to be, what to do, how to act, aren’t functioning properly? When our ideas about the family are shattered, when our ideas about religion are shattered, when our ideas about the United States are shattered, when our ideas about the job market are shattered, when our ideas about the economy are shattered, when our ideas about the future are shattered, what then? How to proceed? How to live now? How to think differently? What to do?

Nietzsche would like to tell us about The Madman, a person who is in this position and is really trying to work through it.
