This discussion serves as a companion to our recent lecture titled "Where is Art Now and How Did We Get Here?" The discussion will be facilitated by Jen Brown, the lecturer, and the following syllabus was written by her. You're welcome to attend this discussion even if you didn't attend the preceding lecture.
We'll discuss the rise of Modern and Post-Modern Art, who were/are the major players, what characterizes these movements, and why did/do artists make this work. Furthermore, we will discuss possible artistic movements for the future, and specifically how representational art has become the new avant garde.
