This is an open house to introduce our upcoming semester's theme: "Theory, Criticism, and Society." This theme will serve as a guiding principle for our Monday night discussions and lectures from October 2018 to March 2019. At this open house, you'll have a chance to meet and talk with lecturers, discussion facilitators, and other participants. You'll also have a chance to find out more about our theme and upcoming lectures and discussions. But mostly, this is an event to enjoy food, drink, and to have great conversation. We hope to see you!
Theme: Theory, Criticism, and Society
"From October 2018 to March 2019, we’ll explore ideas from theory and criticism focusing on art, literature, music, and culture, with the further intention of applying such ideas to the creation and organization of society. Our goal is to deepen our understanding of theory and criticism, and to broaden our perspective of the world we live in—and the possibilities open to us."
